Order Book 3, Reel 31, 1741 to 1742 Charles Griffin, John Collins and Captain Tom Severally acknowledged themselves indebted to our Sovereign Lord the King his heirs and Successors in the sum of ten pounds Current Money and George Douglas as Security for Charles Griffin and John Collins acknowledged himself indebted to our Lord the King his heirs and Successors in the sum of twenty pounds Current Money and Isaac Smith Security for Captn Tom acknowledged himself indebted to our said Lord the King his heirs and Sucessors in the sum of ten pounds Current Money to be levyed of their Goods and Chattles Lands and Tenements for the use afour said Lord the King his heirs and Successors in Case they the said Charles Griffin, John Collins and Captn Tom be not of good behavior and keeping the Kings peace during a twelve Month and a day to all his Majesties Sovereign people but more Especially towards Lawrance Strother----
Blind Tom, Foolish Jack and Wme John Severally acknowledged themselves indebted to our Sovereign Lord the King his heirs and Successors in the sum of ten pounds Current Money each and John Ingram for little Jack, William Crawford for foolish Jack and Bryan Susson for Blind Tom Severally acknowledged themselves indebted to our said Sovereign Lord the King his heirs and Successors in the sum of ten pounds Current Money each to be levyed of their goods and Chattles Lands and Tenements for the Use afour said Lord the King his heirs and Successors in Case the said Blind Tom, Foolish Jack, and little Jack be not of good behavior and keep the Kings peace during a twelve Month and a day to all his majesties Sovereign people but more Especially towards Lawrence Strother
