Possibly Mario Scoto, Count of Bagnacavallo

Mario Scoto, Count of Bagnacavallo, was an Italian nobleman who lived in the 19th century. He was a member of the Scoto family, which was a prominent family in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy.

Bagnacavallo is a town in the province of Ravenna, in the region of Emilia-Romagna. The Scoto family had owned lands and properties in this area since the 16th century, and had been granted the title of Counts of Bagnacavallo by the Holy Roman Emperor.

Mario Scoto was born in Bologna in 1858. He was the son of Count Giuseppe Scoto and Countess Maddalena Bentivoglio. He inherited the title of Count of Bagnacavallo from his father.

Mario Scoto was a prominent figure in Bagnacavallo and the surrounding area. He was involved in local politics and was a member of the provincial council of Ravenna. He was also a patron of the arts and supported local cultural initiatives.

Mario Scoto died in Bagnacavallo in 1937, at the age of 79. The Scoto family continued to own properties in the area until the 20th century. Today, the town of Bagnacavallo still bears the mark of the Scoto family's influence, with many buildings and landmarks named after them.

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.

Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
