A collection of historical and genalogical records
Hi All
Only just joined as I have hit a brick wall as far as the Douglas's out of Harefield / Ruislip are concerned. I have been in contact with Karen for some time.
My tree concurs with 90% of Steve Clark's tree, only recently opening the Shackell branch as I came across one of the decendants through Scouting local to me.
Early members of this family spell their name Duglass, which adds a little difficulty to search for relatives - or is this just a data entry poblem?
To conact Steve Clark, just click the 'Suggest' button, or use the 'Contact Us' button under the 'Info' tab at the top right of the page
Welcome to our group, Karen.
I would be interested in what you make of this page: http://www.steve-clarke.com/main/descend.php?personID=I719&tree=main
Yours aye,
William
The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.
Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.
Professions also help.
'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
