On my father's side, I'm related to Lord Brocket, a gentleman I call the Drug Baron because he was arrested for drug offences a few years ago. Through that line, my tree goes back to Adam and Eve Cain year 0. At least that is what was claimed by the person who researched the family. I do have a disclaimer in my tree:)

Pleased to learn about the disclaimer!!  Ed.

Your tree and mine intersect at Francis Seymour-Conway, 1st Marquess of Hertford where I list daughter Anne but do not show a descendancy.

He is my 16th cousin, 4 times removed!

Yours aye,

William

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.

Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
