Hi and thank you for accepting me.  I am looking for information regarding the maternal grandfather of Thomas Twidale Drysdale b 1816 Portsmouth to mother Elizabeth Ruth Watkins.  The Twidale part of his name has many variations including Twidle/Twydle/Tweedle/Teesdale/Turdle and Twiddle.  If anyone thinks they may be able to help I would be very appreciative.  Thank you.

I have more information about Thomas Twidle DRYSDALE than anyone else on my family tree.  He gave all his children the middle name ARROWSMITH which helped a great deal.  I wonder if any other member is a descendant of his.  I have traced them to Canada, Australia and the USA.  He was a rascal which adds lots of colour to his branch of the tree!

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.

Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
