A collection of historical and genalogical records

I'm trying to find out who Andrew J Doulgass' parents were. I think it was John Douglass Jr and Sarah Lambert, but need confirmation.

My GG Grandfather is George W Douglass b.1845 in Mississippi d.abt 1879 Mississippi, married to Mary Mollie Dunn b 1849-1851 d. 1885 Memphis, Tennessee. George Douglass father was Andrew J. Doulgass b1818 - Mississippi d.6/30,1842 - married to Elizabeth Brown b. ant 1826. I think Andrew's father is John Douglass, Jr.

George and Mary's children were: Timothy, Vivia, Valulia, Cora Agnes (my G Grandmother), Ada, George Stephen, and Maud Estella

Edie,

It would be helpful to share as much relevant data as you already have so that someone who might have a peripheral connection can share their knowledge.

See more 'Making connection' on the right of the page.

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.

Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
