hi Cat long time no talk have you ever been able to find more family connection or history on the Drysdale? One of my grand father is David Drysdale. of course many of my relatives on both side are related. I believe my arriere arriere grand mother would of been is second wife. Lots of activities on the Miramichi, Halifax, or county of Halifax which included Miramichi at the time before it became a province. have you ever had a look at Charlotte Taylor's website? she was a pioneer and wrote lots about times on the MIRAMICHI, Tabusintac, Bartibog, Les Micmacs and of course my grand father Drysdale is mentioned in her writing. I know that city ot towns of Nelson, Chatham, Newcastle or Miramichi archives, church has records of our ancestors. University of Moncton, University Fredericton and Bathurst holds all or some valuable information to satisfied a appetite for genealogy reseach. it has been a while since I devoted time on doing more research yet I would love to get back into this.
Anne marie
I have not come across your version of Drisdelle/Drysdale before. When did the spelling variation come about? You may be interested in joining the Drysdale group...
The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.
Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.
Professions also help.
'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
