... in the group Drysdale Archives this simplified view simply leaves out most information posted there using a cellphone. To better access  choose desktop view from your phones browsers selection in the upper right corner.

I am not sure what I am looking at here, Russ.

I don't seem to have a 'simplified view' option!  How did you get to it?  Oh!  As I scroll further down to the send button, there is the link.

I am not sure of its value if it does not contain content. But I guess it might be useful to post material on the move?  As I do not use a phone for anything much, I would never think to use it for web browzing.

go to bing or google on your cell and select  the forum part of Douglas Archives , simplified view is what  connects for me . on the move , I select desktop view , however I research on PC . Were the site here mine I would turn simplified view off all together .

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
