Mason River is a place with a very small population in the parish of Clarendon, in Jamaica.

I have identified several Douglases connected with the parish, but none specifically on the Mason River, which, I understand, is a wonderful place to visit.

Heron, if you search both the page of names that have been identified, but not necessarily been connected with known families, and also in the genealogy section for 'Clarendon', then this might give you some clues.

My grandmother Matilda Douglas and her siblings lived in Clarendon 

Siblings were Edward Douglas, Burris Douglas, sonny Douglas, sonny Douglas, Clifford Douglas, John Douglas, missy Douglas, and Samuel Douglas 

My grandmother Matilda Douglas also lives in Lluidas vale in St. Catherine 

My grandmother had about five children 

Was married to mr. Edwards

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
