This was a screen shot from a French source. I believe it was a magazine site or perhaps for a gallery showing. Not really sure... Wish I had saved the link, as I have not been successful in finding the source again. Haven't seen the Hamish Douglas Burgess photo, but have seen the photo in the FB links. Thank you kindly, for your replies.

Curious if anyone attended the discussion regarding the painting by Ronnie Brown at Lennoxlove, during the Douglas Clan Gathering? If so, would be most appreciative of any photos or video available to share with The Douglas Archives. I was able to locate only this one image. That is, aside from the image on this site, with the late Duke of Hamilton and the artist holding the painting. Thank you.

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.

Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
