John Drysdale after arival in Utah in 1853 , went on to California in 1854, where he remained during the winter, coming back the next summer when Albert Sydney Johnston's army came to Utah.
John Drysdale located first at Bountiful , Utah and later moved to Clearfield Utah.
John Drysdale was in the Tintic war Soon after the Indian skirmishes ,
John Drysdale located in Cedar Fort, where he had lived until his death.
John , his wife Emma and 4 of his children -
3 who died in1872 ,
and my grandfather Orvin's father Henry Drysdale
are all buried at Cedar Fort Cemetery all marked the same stone.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
