A collection of historical and genalogical records
Gabriella Douglas frequently mobbed in the streets by people who mistake her for the Duchess of Cambridge.
Gabriella Douglas has a well-paying new job, and she didn’t even have to work very hard for the gig.
The 26-year-old brunette from Windsor, England, bears a striking resemblance to the Duchess of Cambridge and recently decided to become a professional Kate Middleton lookalike, making as much as $1,500 Cdn for some public appearances.
“Everyone just kept coming up to me off the street or I’d be at the gym or I’d be getting on a train and they’d say, ‘Gosh, you look like Kate Middleton,’” she said in a BBC interview. “And I thought I’d have to make something of it.”
When Douglas dresses as Kate, she says she gets a glimpse of what the princess must experience every day.
“It is so much fun being Kate’s lookalike and people are so nice and friendly to me all the time. But getting mobbed is quite bizarre and is like a snapshot of being a celebrity,” she told the Daily Mail.

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.
Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.
Professions also help.
'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
