A collection of historical and genalogical records
The Douglas Archives has thousands (yes, really!) of visits daily, but almost all of those visitors are unable to access some of the benefits available to registered users.
By registering, you can:
• view information for living individuals,
• download GEDCOMs,
• download PDFs,
• view LDS information when available, and
• edit user profile and change your password.
You'll also receive our e-newsletter with updates about the website.
Information on private individuals and private notes is restricted to those individuals and is only available by personal request.
Registration for the database is separate from registration for the community forum.
See you soon?
William
The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.
Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.
Professions also help.
'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
