Jahmene Douglas goes straight in at number one

Congratulations to Jahmene Douglas who went straight in at number one in the UK charts with his debut album.

Soulful singer Douglas, who was stacking shelves at a Swindon Asda before finding fame on the ITV show, X Factor, scored his first ever number one with cover versions album Love Never Fails by knocking Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines off the top.

Including a duet of Whitney Houston's The Greatest Love of All with his X Factor mentor Nicole Scherzinger, the 22-year-old is sure to be happy he changed his mind after reportedly dismissing the idea of a covers album.

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.

Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
