Captain Thomas Hunt -John Wilkins and Ann--had two children that mar Hunts-Nathaniel Wilkins who mar Frances Hunt, widow of Edmund Bibby, about 1661. You may recall Frances Hunt was daughter of Lt Thomas Hunt, Sr. Frances predeceased her husband as on 30 March 1692, Nathaniel Wilkins, widower, deeded 450 acres on King.s Creek  to his four sons, who were to have possession at his death. He died before 21 July 1713 when his son, John, returned the inventory of his estate as administrator. Children of Nathaniel Wilkins and Frances (Hunt) Bibby were Ann, John, Thomas, Nathaniel who died before 1701,without issue, William, Frances, and Esther.

Nathaniel Wilkins deposed30 Dec 1671, he was aged 30, and 2 Feb 1674/5, he was aged 38. His mother, now Anne Vosse, deeded him 30 April 1660, 500 acres on which she lived to be effective at her death and on 14 Sept 1662 conveyed of the 500 acre Wilkins tract including one great house and one quartering House one ubarn and one tobacco house during her lifetime. His brother, John Wilkins 5 Oct 1665, any interest he might have had in that land. Deeds, Wills,etc., 1657-66, page 41,and pages 150-151. About 16601661 he married Frances (Hunt) Bibby, Ibid., page 141.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
