A collection of historical and genalogical records
Leo Douglas was nearly 30 minutes old before anyone noticed the significance of his birthdate. As his parents, Petty Officer Kelly Douglas of Emporia and Petty Officer Megan Douglas of Worth, Illinois, watched the nurse place Leo’s tiny footprints on his birth certificate and enter the details of his birth, they realized that he was born at 10:11 on 12-13-14.
Kelly Douglas, son of Ron and Becky Douglas of Emporia, graduated from Emporia High School in 2006, and joined the Navy the following November. He met Megan while the two were stationed in Guam in 2010, and the pair married in a small ceremony on a beach in Guam two years later. Leonitus Minion Douglas is their first child together, joining Kelly’s 6-year-old daughter, Nova, from a previous relationship.
The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.
Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.
Professions also help.
'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
