A collection of historical and genalogical records

Dear Henry,
I have been busy with my maternal family's Virtual Gathering since the beginning of the year, which was held at the end of June. www.macleangatherings.com
A consequence of this is that I have not had much time to review Douglas activity, and have fallen well behind.
What I have read in your posts seems to make sense and has been useful in putting links into the chain, but, as you know, til we get corroboration there is some way to go.
I want to work through your material and see if anything seems out of place.
Yours aye,
William
The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.
Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.
Professions also help.
'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
