Scotti crest

The scotti crest is described as; a shield with blue or red background, separated by a bend with two six pointed stars , one each on the top right & one on the bottom left.  stars and bend in silver or white..found on Douglas/Scotti ,coat of arms. This  Douglas/Scotti coat of arms was because of a marriage.

That is a little more than I could find but it is likely a direction I could investigate.  Were you able to link any of the names I sent ?    I  have no information of Francesco Scotti except what I have sent  you on his children. So the years 1700 to  about 1600 look like hard to find.  I don't have Fransisco's wife's name nor her maiden name. I may search for Giovanni Batista Scotti Douglas in Piacenza around his birth date.  Most records back then were in Latin or Italian or which I cannot read. Thank you again for the quick reply.

I can update my profile but I am not real computer savvy when it comes to navigation of the site.  My information to you is not private nor personal so if you want to enter it go ahead.  +My first contact in Switzerland 30  years ago was Renzo  Scotti, this is what I have:  Giuseppe Antonio Scotti, b. 12 July 1778 in Brasca, SW. d. 6 Feb. 1864,  wife Maddalena Menetti b, 1774, Italy, D. 11 Oct. 1863 Sw.  

Inocente Antonio Scotti, b.6 Aug. 1740 Lugano, Sw.  wife Teresa Menotti

Giovan Antonio Scotti, b. 1704, died 7 Dec 1774, wife Francesa DeCarlis. 

I do have info on Francesco Scotti, no dates, I found in buried under  research---

Feancesa's  father was Gerolamo DeCarius.  Some of this old spelling  & dates may  not be 100% correct, All were from records found in Italian that I had transcribed years ago.

I have had a root around, but nothing has come up yet.
The name 'Giovanni Batista Scotti' Douglas is not uncommon, so others with the name do appear, so there is likely a connection somewhere.

Here is an example:  Giuseppe Scotti was born on month day 1888, to Giovanni Battista Scotti and Anna Scotti (born Massa).

Thank you and it looks like we both are at a stalemate.  I will stop for now till I have more time to think about all this information.  I am remodeling my home, so I have to get back to that for a while.  I will let you know if I come up with any new information.
