A collection of historical and genalogical records

7th generation Obediah Hunt and his wife, Margaret M. Nottingham. Obediah Hunt died Oct 1835. See Order Book 39, 1831-1836, page 422 (Abstracts of Wills and Administrations, Northampton Co, 1800=1854, page 294. Margaret, declined Administration. Admin. Jesse J. Simkims and John M. Wilkins. Joakim Wilkins (Jr) mar Margaret Hunt 9 July 1839, widow of Obediah Hunt (Marriages Northampton Co 1660-1854 page 127) . Margaret was born 1 Sept 1802 and died 9 Dec 1857. The "Death Collection" 1850-1860 provided the birth and death dates for Margaret. This collection is most interesting as it covers the entire county for a decade. One wonders if it is still available for view as some of the deaths, that is "Causes of death" especially of children, seem shocking.

Margaret M. Nottingham was the dau of Jacob Nottingham and Bridget Brickhouse, all of Northampton Co.

Thank you, Henry, for this further contribution.

As you will have seen, I was able to edit the post so that the size of the font came back to normal. When you copy and paste direct from a document with differing fonts, you can copy in the code, which is what happened to you.

It is best in those circumstances to use Notepad (or similar) which strips out the code. Copy and paste into Notepad, and then copy from there and paste into the website.

Also, in edit mode here, you will see an html option where you can edit out the code.

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.

Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
