Event Description

The Strathcarron Singers are presenting a Grand Charity Concert of light hearted music in aid of Strathcarron Hospice on Saturday May 18th 2013 in the Albert Halls Stirling at 7:30 pm

The evening will be presented and compered by members of The Choir all of whom pay their own expenses, buy their own music and give freely of their time and skills so the money raised from our concerts goes 100% to The Hospice.

In line with our policy of supporting young local musicians the soloist this year is Anna Michels a 14 year old pianist from Denny

Anna at 14 is already studying part time at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland

The Band of the Royal British Legion (Scotland) is also performing so it will be a rousing and exciting evening for all of us with something for all musical tastes so we hope that can you come and support this very worthy cause

The choir has been in existence for 8 years and have given over £72000 to The Hospice.

Last year alone we were able to give £7000 from monies raised from concerts

Please come and support our efforts.

Tickets are available from David Marr (01360 440 991) The cost is £10 per ticket with no concessions.

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.

Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
