A collection of historical and genalogical records
Bootstrap is a popular CSS Framework for developing responsive and mobile-first websites. I have been using elements of Bootstrap CSS for many years to add functionality to the Douglas Archives.
Recently, I was advised that I was using an image that was subject to copyright. I tracked it down to one used by Bootstrap in one of its templates.
Not knowing which others of the images in that program are royalty free, and which are not, I deleted Bootstrap. This removed some of the functions within the Douglas Archives - mostly cosmetic.
I hope that these are all now restored, but if something does not look right, please let me know. (This community forum does not use Bootstrap). Perhaps a slideshow is not functioning correctly, or buttons are not displaying.
As always, thank you for your help nd support.
William
The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.
Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.
Professions also help.
'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
