Thank you!

Thank you, Russ!

This is for the folks needing translations , currently Google has a Translation tool  at :

 https://translate.google.com/?hl=en&tab=TT&sl=auto&tl=e...

This in no way a commercial for anyone, but rather  an effort to ease research and raise awareness .

You can choose to translate  Text , Documents  and even Websites - please use them if you find the need .

The translation may not work on all websites , but I have found 9 out of 10 were successful your results may vary. The Document translator , according to Google '' can translate documents up to 10 MB in any of these formats: .docx, .pdf, .pptx, .xlsx. PDF files must be 300 pages or less.''                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      If you have a larger document you can split it using any number of available  apps . I have found 123apps converters has a tool for splitting docs and worked flawlessly  at      https://pdf.io/split/

 Happy Translating !

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.

Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
