A collection of historical and genalogical records
At the Clan Maclean Gathering, held on the Isle of Mull, I attended a ceremony which was part of the Sunday church service during which various members of the clan were invited to introduce the tartan that they were wearing, saying what it was and where it came from. Once all variations of Maclean tartan were presented, others were asked to introduce the tartan…

I have just received details of a Bannockburn Dinner, to be held on 23rd June in Brisbane, Australia.
Sadly, I will be working on the Isle of Mull that day - helping out the Macleans!
I hope those attending have fun.

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.
Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.
Professions also help.
'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
